Cotmanhay Primary is one of our favourite clients because it is so clear how much the children get out of the experience of beating a drum. For two years now we have been delivering our African Drumming and Dance workshop - The African Music Experience. When the school first contacted us they said they wanted something really engaging for the children - many of whom have hardly any knowledge of anything outside of a 1 mile radius of their neighbourhood - let alone Africa!

When we came back to the school last November they still remembered all the rhythms and musical break beats from our previous visit the year before - including all the silly words to help remember the grooves! It is so clear that cultural activities like African Drumming really leave a lasting positive impression on children - it is a creative, collaborative experience which stays with them for years to come!
