West African drumming brings Manchester Business Network to life
West African Drumming & Dance at Manchester Business Network
Traditional West African drumming and dance brought an unexpected burst of energy to the Manchester Business Network event at The Lowry in Salford on Thursday 22nd October. Our group Tanante joined delegates for a live performance combining the driving rhythms of djembes and dunduns with expressive dance and song.
With live drumming, singing and dancing, the performance offered a lively contrast to the usual business-networking programme. Dancers Jokeh and Amey brought the rhythms to life, supported by a full ensemble of West African drums. It was a pleasure to share this music with such a welcoming audience.

Live entertainment or a chance for everyone to join in
Through Unbeatable Energy, we can bring live West African drumming and dance to corporate celebrations, conferences and special events. For organisers looking for something more participatory, we also offer interactive African drumming and team-building experiences, inviting colleagues to create music together.
Planning a Christmas celebration or New Year event?
There is still time to add something different to a Christmas party, end-of-year gathering or town hall meeting. And the same energy can help teams reconnect in January, whether through a conference energiser, a team-building drum circle or live entertainment to launch the year ahead.
If you’re planning an event and would like to explore what might work for your group, we’d love to hear from you.
We’d be delighted to discuss your event and explore how African drumming could work for your team.
